This fish was photographed in the Philippines, near Anilao. Despite the black background, it was
photographed on a shallow reef in the middle of the day. The use of inward lighting - turning the strobes
toward the camera - allowed me to achieve the dark look. This fish is a juvenile harlequin sweetlips.
Harlequin refers to the brown color with the white spots, and can be found in other species as well, such
as shrimp.
