This photo of manta rays is one the first photos that I ever took. It was shot in the Maldives, at a manta ray cleaning station. I was on the sea floor looking upward, trying to keep out of the manta's way, and was able to capture this gentle giant as he and a friend swam right over my head. I nicknamed this photo "Giants of the Sea" after a book that I absolutely loved as a child. It had a silhouette of a manta ray on the cover, similar to this shot, and I was ecstatic to have my own picture similar to the book cover's.
